I Wish Someone Would Bite Me!

So, this is my very first blog! (under no circumstance are you to click the X!) Alright, lets get started!

Okay, this opinion may be a bit bias for the simple fact that I LOVE KELLEY ARMSTRONG! I have read her Darkest Powers Trilogy (YA Series) and have been hooked on her writing style since the very first sentence of The Summoning.

Just two days ago I picked up the first book in Kelley's Otherworld series. I found it quite hard to put down, finishing the 436 pages in less than 48 hours.

I'm not great with compassion, I prefer a side of sarcasm. The main character Elena Michaels hands that to me on a silver platter. I do quite enjoy this characters personality. She is a strong woman with a lot of spunk! Along with the fact that she is the only female werewolf... which makes her extremely bad ass!

Throughout the book she is basically have a fight with destiny. She is a werewolf, not born but bitten. She wants to be a human, and only a human. She fights to keep a normal human existence, making the "change" as little as possible. But destiny is always a step ahead of her, and now it has come to bite her in the ass.

Elena must make many hard and painful decisions while not only fighting with destiny, but also with her inner demons. The demons, AKA Phillip and Clayton, part of the infamous love triangle in which she is a member of, are from both worlds. Phillip is her human lover/live-in boyfriend and Clayton is her werewolf hearts desire.

Destiny has caught up with her and not only must she fight a battle with unknown enemies, but she must fight a battle of conscience and heart.

What path with Elena choose? Who will she choose to be with? And does any of it really matter, for her pack is hunted and members are dying.

I defiantly give this book a BIG thumbs up! It's a great read! Kelley knows when its time to be serious and when its time to just have fun. I highly recommend this book. Beware, there are a few sex scenes and a bit of foul language, but not enough to consider this anything but a well written slice of sarcastic, romantic, breath-taking, fun-loving heaven. No one does strong woman like Kelley Armstrong.

And just to show you how bad ass Elena is, here is a quote:

"...If you lay another hand on him, I'll do something to you that will make that ear bite look like a paper cut. And if you kill him, I swear to God and the devil and anyone who will listen, if you kill him, I will hunt you down. I will find you and I will inflict on you every torture I can imagine. I'll blind you and I'll castrate you and I'll burn you. But I won't kill you. I won't let you die. I'll put you in hell and I'll make you live there for the rest of your life." (Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. Pg. 403)
