Will This EVER End?

Let's answer that question. Will this ever end???? I HOPE NOT!

Alyson Noel is amazing. She has created a setting much like everyone has encountered in high school. There is the popular crowd and the not-so-popular crowd. There are the stuck up girls who think they are better than everyone else, the middle class trying to be "better" (AKA popular), and then there is Ever Bloom.

One day she was Ever Bloom -- popular high school student with a steady boyfriend and an annoying little sister. The next day she was Ever Bloom -- freak. See, Ever's entire family was killed in a car accident... she also died, but was resuscitated. Ever since that day she has been able to read peoples minds, hear what everyone is thinking, touch anything or anyone and know its history, she can even see people's auras, but that is not the worst of it.

She was the only surviving member of the family and was forced to move from her home in Oregon to sunny California with her Aunt Sabine, whom she has never met. She has had to start over completely, start a new school, make new friends -- all while keeping her "abilities" secret.

She struggles every day from the insanity of everyone else. Trying desperately not to hear all of the unnecessary chatter, she blasts screaming metal music from her IPod and pulls her hoodie up over her head. This works, as long as she doesn't touch anyone... at least most of the time.

Then Damen arrives and not only is he GORGEOUS, but he plays by his own set of rules. He is different. She can't see his aura, or hear his thoughts, not even touch him and know his life story. He is a mystery, but seems to know everything about Ever. It is almost as if he has abilities of his own, because whenever he is around EVERYTHING IS SILENT.

Damen makes the chatter stop. Damen makes her heart beat faster. Damen takes her breath away. Damen is her hearts desire and Ever is falling fast and hard.

This is a great book. I highly recommend Evermore, the first instalment in Alyson Noel's The Immortals Series. I have read the next two books in this series and have found them absolutely fascinating! At some points in Evermore the book is very light and fluffy. At others it is dark and dangerous. This book has an edge to it... you are always left wondering what will happen next.

Alyson draws in your attention, keeps you on the edge of your seat biting off all of your nails -- WONDERING HOW IT ALL WILL PLAY OUT! There are definitely cliff hangers, "bad guys", "good guys", innocents, and a whole lot of drama.

If suspense is what you are looking for then this is definitely the book for you.

  2. Glad to hear! I just bought Dark Flame, the most recent of the series and CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT!

Let me know how you like this book, I always enjoy others feedback.

Also, has anyone read any good books about ghosts? I'm looking for something more than Vampires, Werewolves, Shape shifters and Witches. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

  3. Well the Cassandra Palmer Series is good and she has her personal ghost but there are all of the other things but she is not one of them.
