Like there could be anything worse than being 16, in high school, and walking in the shadow of her supermodel best friend. But, compared to what happens next, that part of her life is just plain normal.
Morgan Rowlands has been raised a devote Catholic. She lives in the suburbs with her Mother, Father, and sister Mary K. She has two close friends, Bree and Robbie. Everything about Morgan screams I AM NORMAL. Unfortunately, to Morgans dismay, her world is about to be turned upside down.
Simple facts, such as, I am a Catholic turn into I am a Witch. I am a teenage girl turn into I am a teenage Witch. I've never had a boyfriend, nor have I been interested turns into I want to be with Cal Blaire. Everything she knows about her self changes when Cal walks into her life.
Morgan must make hard decisions and face startling facts about herself and her future. What path will she choose? And in making those decisions, will she leave part of herself behind?
I know this is a Young Adult series, but I loved it! Morgan reminded me a lot of myself when I was a teenager. She never felt like she quite fit in, always felt a little off. She is strong and stubborn, standing up for what she believes in. I think she is a great role model for teenagers and young women. If I had daughters I would put this series on an "expected to read" list.
Cate Tiernan is a fantastic writer! She can take you to a world you know doesn't exist and make it feel just as real as your own. I have read two of her series and was never disappointed. To find out more follow Cate @ http://catetiernan.org/sweep/
Definitely need to check this one out. Thanks for the tip!
