You Should Be Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf!
Kelley Armstrong has done it again! Women of the Otherworld: Stolen is a smash hit! I didn't think it was possible to make Elena any more sarcastic than she already was... but Armstrong did just that.
In this book Elena is starting to come to terms with who she is. She is putting aside her pity for her situation and making the best of it. She is also allowing herself to feel love for herself and others. In doing this she has become stronger -- emotionally and physically.
A fourth of the way through the book she is abducted and locked into a cell. She has no idea where she is or why she is there. There is no way out, even if you are as strong as she is. Now she must plot her escape, befriend the right "poor excuse for a person(s)", and somehow contact Clay and Jeremy so they know she is still alive.
Thank the goddess that before she was kidnapped she had been at a council meeting full of other supernatural beings. Who knew there was anything other than werewolves, but there are. Among the council are witches, vampires, shamans and half demons.
Also, among the prisoners are witches, shamans, and half demons. Through the help of the prisoners and the members of the council Elena hopes to escape and take down the men who have imprisoned her.
She has many obstacles to overcome in order to obtain her goal: FREEDOM!
Can she do it?
Armstrong is a wonderful writer. She really takes you into the mind of the characters. It took me a while to read this book, but not for lack of trying. It seemed every time I sat down to read I was interrupted... but it is definitly addictive and something I was craving when I was unable to read it. If you are looking for a good paranormal series I would recommend you give The Women of the Otherworld a try.
Two Thumbs Up!
