If I Say Fallen, Do You Think "And I Can't Get Up"?

Lauren Kate has definitely caught my attention. She tells a story that is extremely dark, exciting, and secretive. The best part about this book is it has nothing to do with vampires, werewolves, shape shifters, or witches. That being said, yes it is somewhat supernatural/paranormal.

I have read many books, but in all of my reading I have only once read a book more than once. I seriously loved this book so much that I decided to read it again. At this moment I am doing everything in my power not to read it for a third time... but who knows I may cave. Torment won't be out until September and I am in urgent need of a Daniel Grigori fix.

Lucinda (AKA Luce) Price is a "misguided youth" who has been sent to the Sword & Cross boarding school in Savanna, Georgia. She has always been "troubled", for everywhere Luce goes trouble seems to follow. The final accident is what put her in the Hell Hole she is in now.

For some reason whenever something bad is about to happen Luce sees these "shadows". She has always been terrified of them and doesn't know what to make of them. The night the accident happened the shadows where there, and she doesn't know if they are responsible -- or if she is.

Once she is at the boarding school she realizes that everyone there has done something wrong. Everyone there has a horrible reason for being there. She wants nothing to do with anyone, accept for Daniel Grigori. And he wants nothing to do with her.

This institution is full of secrets and lies. Some individuals are too interested in her, and some not enough. To uncover the truth Luce must befriend the only sane person there-- Penn. Together they search for the answers that are needed to survive. Together they uncover dangerous and scary information about Daniel and his rival Cam. Together they risk their lives for The Fallen.

This really is a great book. It's different from what I normally read, but just as entertaining. I actually found myself craving more and extremely excited when I found out that Disney will turn the Fallen Saga into movies. They hope for the hype to be just as abundant as Twilight. AND LET ME TELL YOU I HAVE HYPE!

Keep up the good work Lauren Kate! I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!!!!!
